The Deku Scrubs are a race of plant-like creatures who appear rather dimwitted but often show signs of mental prowess. In the alternate world Deku Scrubs are often merchents of sorts attempting to bargin where possible. In appearance they are brown with tufts of flowers and a large snout useful for shooting things at opposistion. They like forested areas such as the Lost Wood and live in small burrows in the ground where they enjoy a quiet life amongst each other. They are capable of speech but it does seem like a clipped plucking sound. In the alternate world of Talmina the Deku's seem much more sophisticated living in their Deku Palace. There they have an acknowledged king, in Hyrule this fact is still uncertain.
